Statement: Many (not all) attacks of Luffy are from Joyboy.
Explanation: Vegapunk and Ohara’s research always mentioned how the ancient kingdom was very developed/advanced. The Iron Giant is another example of that. Luffy also has used quite many attacks around weapons that aren’t existing in the current timeline like rockets, UFOs, etc. Maybe Luffy’s attacks always had a subconscious influence of Joyboy/Nika, as Zoan fruits have their own mind. Since Joyboy is probably from the Ancient Kingdom, he must have seen technology around him and started integrating them into his attacks, like how Luffy saw the pistol and made Gum Gum no Pistol. This would also explain attack names that aren’t in Luffy’s vocabulary.
Statement: Gear 3, 4, 5 are from Joyboy, not Luffy’s own idea.
Explanation: Bonney against Cipher Pol agents, used a gear 3 similar attack before she even knew Luffy and before Luffy even knew about gear 3. Hyogoro mentions gear 4 as the look of the guardian deity (an obvious mention of the sun god, guardian/warrior of slaves). Not to mention the way Luffy, on first introduction of G4 to Rayleigh, is showcasing every ability that form has like he unlocked a new character with its own unique skills. This form has many independent qualities which would require many trial and error to reach the perfect form that encompasses and fits them all perfectly. Gear 5 is straight up Joyboy/Nika. Zoan fruits have their own will, and Nika/Joyboy influenced Luffy for these forms.
Statement: Luffy is the main key to One Piece/Laughtale.
Explanation: There’s a reason Roger was too early and not “missing something” like some ancient weapons. There’s another subtle hint why Shanks waited for One Piece until Nika awakened because it’s pointless to try without the main key, Monkey D. Luffy, aka Nika. The government can’t access or find Laughtale because the fruit is evading them, aka Nika/Joyboy is avoiding them.
Statement: Luffy had gotten outside help as nika before and after gear 5.
Explanation: Helps that he got not bcoz he’s luffy but because he’s Nika. Not much to explain, we all thought kuma helped because of dragon but he helped before even knowing connection of luffy to dragon. Kuma helped because Luffy is Nika, so is bonney going to be allied to luffy in future as he is Nika and also the reason Vegapunk was interested in Luffy bcoz of Nika.
Statement: The decision to save people and gather allies around is Nika’s, not luffy’s.
Explanation: It was no doubt that this would be luffy’s own ability but with lore explanation that Nika was warrior of liberation, going around freeing/saving slaves and with zoan fruits have mind of their own, the cities luffy saved probably came from emotions of Nika in his fruit. The allies that gathered around luffy bcoz he saved them gathered bcoz of will of Nika. Luffy already said he doesn’t want to be hero, is selfish and would rather eat whole meat for himself than give it to people. The reason luffy ends up doing alternative is bcoz of will of Nika as zoan fruit.
